After receiving an email from TeamViewer advising that I urgently needed to pay the yearly subscription I attempted to contact them on (08) 7325 6900 to pay with a card because the payment was not able to be processed online due to a problem with their system. When I called (08) 7325 6900 I kept getting a message that the call had failed. I’m now hesitant to pay through the bank because of the problems I’ve encountered. Can anybody tell me if they’ve had a similar problem and if there is another way to contact them

I have had a popup from Microsoft Essentials who connected me with someone named James from teamViewer today. This was most upsetting as they tried to con me out of $440 but reduced the cost for 5 programs to fix my PC down to $275 when i told them i was on a pension. Without proof they reduced the amount. I told them i would have to call my Sister as i didn't have that kind of money. I am most upset regarding this compromise of my system.
I also got in touch with TeamViewer who told me that they only sold software and not at that amount.
Turns out that it was a total hoax, which is why im posting on here, to Warn Others of this and hope it doesn't happen to them & that they will know what to do if they do receive a popup showing that my pc had many security problems which all turned out to be fake.
Beware everyone :)

This number does indeed appear to be for the legitimate Teamviewer company that only sell remote access software nothing more as I've just spoken with them regarding my business subscription for remote IT work. This software does get used by scammers though but also real IT professionals too the world over. Anyone who calls claiming to be from Microsoft is 99% of the time a scam and these errors they show you are usually common and quite normal. It's just the scammers excuse to "clean" your PC then charge for a problem that didn't exist, don't fall for it. Have a good day :)
TLDR; This is Teamviewer.. ie teamviewer.com.au Aussie office I guess
