Caller: EBAY?? Yesterday I received a call from Adelaide (08) 7200 4757 left an automated message about an amount being debited from my account. I called back and spoke to Peter from eBay staff ID 4207CSFAPB who told me that my eBay account (don't have one) was about to be debited by $249.99 – this false account set up using my details in China by Whang Chu and asking me how they got my details to set up this account. I said cancel the account if its fake – I don’t have an eBay account. He then said if I wanted to cancel the account I need to give him remote access to my mobile phone via an app and he would lead me through cancelling my eBay account (which I kept telling him I don't have) - I needed to do this right away or the debit was going to happen in the next 10 minutes. I kept asking for eBay’s standard protocols if they know a fake account has been set up - no answer so I hung up.

someone called from (08) 7200 4757 and left a voice message when it wasn't picked up. automatic voice message saying I would be charged $249.99 from my account, if it wasn't me who made an order I should ring mobile number given. this is the second time in a week they have called me. I have reported it but they keep calling.
