called back busy tone - suspect its the First response scam - Telstra should shut it down! Time to stop shifting the onus onto the receivers of the calls & push it back onto the networks that allow them to occur

I missed a call from this number. They left a msg but it was a pre recorded voice saying they couldn't service my call at the moment. (No company name ).
I've no idea who it is or what they want.
I have blocked this number.

Claimed to be from the Motor Vehicle Helpline, and asked if I had been in any accidents in the last 12 months. Hung up and blocked, definitely a scam.

Called me by full name. Claiming got my info from a Vehicle Collison Database. Seems I have had an Accident that is not my fault in the last 12 months. Sold my car 18 months ago, not driven in last 14 months......

Received a call from this number based in Adelaide stating my full name and asking whether I'd been in a Motor Vehicle Accident to which I stated no, then the woman asked whether a family member had used my details in a accident they had. When I replied No she said then it is obviously a mistake and she would remove my details off the system.

This is obviously a phishing scam looking for a sucker, for what I have no idea but I stopped it dead in water.

They called me randomly, I called back several times so I could annoy them. I was connected to piano music, then the number rang out.I have spoken to them before and when confronted, they are rude and hang up.

Claimed to be the ATO when I told them the ATO does not call people they go through the accountant he asked why I called and then swore at me.
Definitely trying to get info

They claim to be the motor vehicle help line but nothing in White Pages. I suspect a scam or fishing by some shonky lawyers.

I rang the number back and the lady said that they had my number because apparently I've been involved in an accident. I said that I've not been involved in any accident for the past 14 years to which she instantly replied instigating that any close family member may have been. I requested them to take the number off the database. This is very clearly a scam.

I answered the call but they hung up. I called immediately after but it was busy

Return called after missing a call, asked how they got my number, to which she replied from a national database, I then asked what it was in regards to and she went on about a motor vehicle accident. Told her I don't own a car.
I am on the do not call register, so apparently that doesn't work either.
