Have been receiving nuisance calls and text messages from this number.  Immediately reporting to gardai to stop this 'liam'.

I have been getting texts from this number since Sep 2010.
He states he is Liam and asks "Is this not Jen?"

As he was texting often I saved the number on my phone under "Wrong Caller Liam"  - in case he was a nuisance caller or I needed evidence/contact details for him. Late last year he started texting again - I answered him back saying I wasn't Jen and that he had contacted me before. He asked why had I saved the number. I ignored the text and he texted the same thing about 3 times.
I have again received a withheld call just now - and then a text  from the same number stating " Hi. U at much?"

How do we block this number?

funny. today got text from this number saying 'hi what u up ta?'. didn't replied. strange

I too got a blank text from (08) 7099 4870 earlier today and asked who it was. He said his name was Liam and asked "Dis not Jen?".   He said he was in Cavan (not my area) and proceeded to send chatty texts.  I have not, to my recollection, posted anything to Gumtree so don't know where he got my number.  

What is the point of this kind of thing?

Same had private number call 1 hour before this number called , The number i was called on was my work number on a Saturday and iv never posted it online or any site , so i figure its just random for me, ill contact my operator and his then report the number , they will take it more seriously than the gards !

i got a missed call from a blocked number today and then got a text from a Liam saying he was feeling down and would like a chat i text back " who is this " and he asked is this not Sara then said he was sorry for text me but that i sounded friendly .........
