Person claimed to be from a compensation lawyer regarding a worker's compensation claim. I asked for the company's ABN. Person did not supply. I asked for the business address, the person stated 108 King William Street, Adelaide. I asked the person how many floors does this building have? The person wanted to refer back to the caller's reason for calling. I advised the person that I am familiar with Adelaide, and definitely King William Street, Adelaide. Moreover, the caller should know how many floors are in the building that she claimed to work at. Shortly thereafter, the call discontinued at the caller's end.

Caller: Offshore Agent

Person was calling from Compension Claims Australia asking about a "workplace incident". Could not explain or provide any details of the incident (because it didn't exist), and confirmed they were calling to engage clients for their legal team to pursue.

Total scam. Have also reported the legal practice to the Law Society.

Company has tried calling me on a couple of numbers (7092 5601).
SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Caller states they are insurance company calling re accident.
Also has stated calling about car accident.
Can’t give any details re ABN or address of business.
Will hang up the phone if you tell them they need to give you the company’s ABN before you give them any info.

But where do they get the information from that you have a claim? In my case, and many others, there is NO CLAIM !

(08) 7092 5601 and (08) 7092 5604 and (08) 7228 5207. Person rang regarding my compensation claim for my injury?? Asking when it occurred, how long ago, which month, etc. I played along as if I really had registered a claim - just to call his bluff and he appeared to repeat and write down my info. As we continued, he didn't know how to continue, so asked if I could be transferred to his manager. I said yes that would be great, but hung up as he was doing so. Since then they have been persistently ringing on three different numbers and also currently as I'm typing. UPDATE - I was angry with guy on phone due to the constant calls and asked him how they got my number, which he said was on a 'database'. I said stop scamming and harassing people with constant phone calls as I would report number. To his credit he remained calm and tried to explain what he does. Sounds like he's being scammed also lol. Background sounds were obviously a busy call centre type office. I said I felt sorry for him and to go get a 'real' job, even cleaning toilets would be more productive and honourable!
