Said they were from amazon

This may sound strange, but I have always suffered from anxiety since I can remember and I put off getting a mobile for so long because of this.
I want to thank everyone who kindly lets others now their experience so people like me can block and avoid - it really is appreciated:)
It's a great little community that's working together and it is lovely to see, so thanks to you all😊

getting a batch of these usually over a run of few days. it must be my number is passed to another scam crew! when I answer I don't say anything and they hang up. it annoys me the telcos aren't doing anything about this because they obviously profit

April 25, 2023 another Caller weeks later..A Recording in American MALE Accent- but could be any country and any company -who knows these days? Said they were ebay- never been on ebay. so EASY ! I HANG up. On the Do Not Call Register so can do the report.. looks like they are Phishing from all over for their fave icecream flavour with poop on top again .. same people, same old sh*t still hanging from the hook”.. Hang up and let THEM deal with it alone….

Called me and hung up as I answered

Told me they were from NBN broadband & asked me to install an app

I did not initally answer and then rang back only to hear the noise of a fax machine. Number is now blocked as it is obviously a scam.

Caller: Scammer saying they were from Amazon Prime

Got 2 calls within about 5 mins of each other. The first was from a mobile 0478 433 734 (have already posted this # on this site). 2nd call from this landline. Both were recorded msgs asking for money to renew account. Same caller last week asked for new card number.

Said they were from Telstra and were obviously trying to access my system or scam me.

SCAMMAZ DUD DONT GET JEBAITED

They didn't talk when I said hello but I could hear Indians yabbering away in the background. Scammers forcsure

They called me saying that they are from Cyber Security Australia and they want to help me because my google email account has been activated in USA, then they asked me to install a apps called Anydesk trying to access:view all my activities in my phone.

Called my mobile. I did not answer as the number is unfamiliar. They did not leave a message. From other comments I'd say this was yet another scam attempt.

They keep calling me and hanging up, don't say anything. last week I had a scam call saying they were from Amazon and confirming I had placed an order for an I-Phone. I knew it was a scam but wanted to see what else they were going to try get out of me. I made her repeat where she was from and when I said No I didn't she hung up. it didn't make sense to me unless she knew I was on to her. It bothered me that I had said anything at all then.

The Caller said that they were from Amazon, and that someone had used my Account and that they needed more details to rectify it. I advised them that I would contact the Police. The Caller then hung up.

I have blocked this number before but somehow they manage to get through even during the night. Don't pick up, block the number.scam

Said they were from amazon and someone had purchased a gift card worth $500 fraudulently using my account and did I want to cancel it and have it refunded. Didn't sound right so I hung up.
