Caller: fake telstra

called me bout some internet connection i supposedly have, lol. i dont have internet , led him on for a good 10 mins for some good fun. oh the reaction of his as he thought hed hooked someone, hahahahaha ended up hanging up on me after a good 10 mins.. much to my disapointment. id only just started

Called and hang up when I picked up

Caller: Adam from NBN maintenance

Ended up hanging up when I got nervous about things I was told to type into my computer to improve my internet speed. Seemed to me that he was trying to gain access.

Caller: Indian call centre

Claimed to be from CBA. kept him going for 15 minutes before he lost his patience and cut the call. SCAMMERS

Called claiming to be from telstra and were offering me free months on my plan as a result of me being a good customer. I just needed to confirm my details to have the plan sent through....Funny thing - they called me on a work issued device that I don't pay for with an email address that has recently been caught up in cyberhacking. They were unable to confirm the number of their office and only that they were in New South Wales (well the person offering advice to caller said to say this- too funny). I asked where, and was then scolded me for not knowing where that was, as I lived there too. I asked why the phone number didn't match a New South Wales number and was given some story that they are generated by the promotions department at telstra and they cant see the numbers. I just asked them if they were with telstra, why didn't they know who owned the phone and to send all the information there. It was a weak scam attempt - silly duffers. They hung up on me

Claims to be Optus but they're just scammers taking advantage of the Optus hack

I didn’t answer. They left a voicemail saying “hello” sounded foreign. I could hear they were in a call centre. It came up as an Adelaide number , I had a scam call two hrs prior from another landline number purportedly from Perth.

Ever since I upgraded my NBN to fibre I've been getting sus calls like this.

posing Amazon, requested I choose 1 to speak to a consultant and claimed my Amazon account had expired and I would be charged $93 to re-establish it The hang up button worked a treat

CALLS FROM THIS SEQUENCE OF NUMBERS IS FREQUENT. IF YOU ANSWER, NO REPLY ON THE OTHER END. SCAM SCAM SCAM JUST SEEING IF YOUR NUMBER IS VALID SO THEY CAN USE IT TO SCAM SOMEONE ELSE

Caller: One indian guy rang me from this number

I thought is was one of my friends calling me from South Australia as they had a new number ..A indian guy answer ed talked too fast did not under stand what he said and then hung up ..Ive blocked this number

Caller: NO IDEA

I DO NOT ANSWER CALLLS THAT I DO NOT KNOW AND AS THIS WAS FROM A LAND LINE CALLING ME FROM A STATE I AM NOT IN, I DID NOT SEE THE BENEFIT OF ANSWERING. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO RETURN THE CALL, IT NEVER RANG.

Posing as Telstra to advise me that my internet connection is being hacked and all of my confidential information is being accessed. Wanted to walk me through the steps to "fix" the hack. Hung up when I told them I would get someone locally to help me.

Claiming to be from nbn telling me people were using my IP for illegal activity.
