Caller: Origin LPG I felt unsure about the caller asking for confirmation of address and email address and poor call quality. I followed up by calling Origin LPG directly as listed on our bills. They confirmed they had called regarding regarding our account. Legitimate.

Caller: Caller display was Origin Energy Caller from 08 it could be SA, WA or NT to me at 09:02am Brisbane time first working day of 2021, likely a scam.

Caller: Origin Energy Indian accent called, wanted surname, address which I gave. Told me I had an outstanding amount which I said yes and I rang a few days to get an extension to pay balance. He said can you pay now. I said no, I don't pay over the phone I will be paying by Bpay. He did know exactly how much I owe though. When Origin send me texts about my gas, it is not from Origin Energy. Have Origin outsourced their customer service to overseas?

Caller: Claimed to be from Origin Energy Wanted to discuss a bill, however first wanted some details from me to confirm that he was speaking to the right person. Sounded very suspicious...... I have now blocked this number.
