Have received two nuisance calls from this number today 08Mar2012, considering we are on the don't call register, I shall be reporting same to the authorities.

I received a call from this number (08) 6444 4800 today. They left a voice mail message, heavy breathing and just hung up saying nothing.
Very odd...

have received 6 calls from this number, same issue it either stops ringing or hang up after i answer. tried calling back and the number does not exist. prank caller?

I have had a series of these as missed calls over the last week or so. Usually one or two per day. We too are on the 'do not call register'.

Caller stated he was from a nationwide survey company asking my opinion on state and council elections. I am on the 'do not call' register. How do these market research companies get around this?

I have had this number try and call me three times in the last few days. I always miss the call, try and call back and get the number is not connected message.

I have been receiving these calls for a couple of weeks. Starts out with a private number during the day which I answer, and get no response and I hang up. Later I receive an evening call from the 08 number. Not happy.

I have had 3 ph calls from them at 7pm on my home ph, I just let it go to my anwsering machine but they never leave a message. it's starting to get annoying

Just received a call from Prostate cancer asking if they could send out some information re rasing money, I said yes and then she asked for money upfront!. i hung up I get calls at least twice a day from scamers, this lady may or may have been a scammer but how can you tell, i am very suspicious as all my scam calls come from 03 or 08 numbers.

We have been receiving these calls at all hours from (08) 6444 4800 and we are on the do not call register. This is a scam as the Indian lady on the phone asked for personal details about our computer activity which we refused to give. This did not stop them from calling!! I called Crimestoppers and they advised me to report this to scamwatch.gov.au (Govt) which i am in the process of doing now. This should not be happening and with the incredible rise of identity theft in the world right now we all need to do our bit and report these criminals.

and they should remove your number from their database.

They are collecting for something for the police. My mother just passed away in America and I was on the phone with a family member there. When I got the beep that another call was coming in, I answered thinking it might be my husband. It was a woman calling from this number - (08) 6444 4800. She said they were collecting for the police or something. I didn't quite catch it, since my mind is on much bigger things at the moment, but I know I heard her say  'police'. When told her I was on the other line with a family member in America, that woman said to me, "I don't see your call waiting" and then hung up on me!!!! Great representation for the police here in Australia! I don't think their job requires that they being rude and sarcastic. I would really like to report this, but don't know to whom!

These calls are on my landline not my mobile...

Just had this number call, but rang out after 20 secs. Looked dubious so I didn't answer.

It might have been Shirley Strachan - "She's got your number, and so's her sister ..... Hey boy it's Balwyn Calling....."

First one tonight. Pestered the same way before by (02) 9112 5000. Turned out to be commonwealth bank trying to flog insurance. Marketing company is called Service Stream of 560 Collins st Melbourne.
