Another scam saying they were from cyber crime

My phone nailed it as a scam call.

Pretended to be my bank and told me that someone in NZ had tried several times to withdraw $2500 from the account. They asked me if I did net banking, then got me to check my bank account and asked me to install software to allow external control of my computer...

Caller: Said they were from paypal and wanted me to report a fraudulent transaction.

I don't have a paypal account...!

claiming to be from eBay. Insisted someone from California had purchased an Apple e-gift card using my e-Bay account. Didn't like me asking what email account is it linked to. She wouldn't tell me, just said "I can't tell you that", kept asking questions, seemed to be trying to get me to answer using "yes" and "no" replies. Didn't like it when I wouldn't say "yes" and would only reply with I don't know about it. She kept pushing for me to answer with a "yes". She also wanted to know if I use an Apple or android laptop, she wasn't happy when I said I wasn't prepared to disclose that. She was quite persistant then told me to collect the gift card "from our office in Sydney" then proceeded to hang up on me. Funny thing is - I don't use eBay!

Email problems - or so they say.

Unauthorised Payment from Commonwealth bank account.

Yeah I'm going to pick up a phone call from Perth at what would be 5am their time. Not.

They hung up when I answered. I called back. An American accent voice said their mailbox was full at this time.
