I answered the call with my name and they they hung up on me without a word. Why call if you don't want to say anything?

No Message left. But is one of a series of missed calls over the past few days with the last 2 to 4 numbers being slightly different to the previous missed call.

Caller: Visa and Mastercard verification

this indian guy rang and said he was calling from visa and mastercard verification (two separate companies, so they are idiots) asking if i made any international transactions - call dropped out before i could swear at t hem

Received a call from this number today but I did not answer. They ring for only a few rings and then hang up and do not leave a voicemail which says to me it's likely a scammer. These days it's just not worth answering the phone. Number blocked!

Caller: scammer pretending to be NBN Co

Scamming criminal male with strong ESL accent using CLID (08) 6388 0942 fraudulently claimed to be NBN Co. Scammer hung up when challenged. Did not try to return call - criminal is a known fraudster using same CLID.

Caller: Supposedly Paypal

Sounded like recording and Paypal would know my name - hung up

getting calls daily from unknown numbers, this one yesterday. Have blocked along with the rest of them. Have received calls before from the same region/prefix but last numbers change each time so they get thru. Will perservere and will eventually beat them (I hope!)..... maybe we should call them back over and over and see how they like it? Tie up their phone lines. Give them a taste of their own medicine.... Wish we had more power to dish back what they do to us....... Interested if anyone else had ideas?

I answered without thinking because the number was close to a client's number, normally I don't answer unknown numbers. Definitely a scam call, recorded message supposedly from paypal or payid regarding a payment request. I hung up the call before the full message played. Number blocked

Said were from Mastercard & fraudulent activity had happened with 2 payments overseas. I just said that I had authorised these payments so they then hung up!!!🤣🤣

You pick up, they hang up.

I keep blocking spam calls and they just keep ringing me on different numbers. I don't answer them, they don't leave a message, so I block them. This is the latest one. Yesterday it was a Queensland number from Cairns, before that Brisbane. These spammers get around - lol.
