Caller: Fake Telstra call from India My Melbourne phone rang from an Indian sounding Telstra technician in Perth telling me my home internet speed is slow and that I need to do a speed test. He told me how to do it. Alarm bells started ringing in my head so I told him I'd prefer to deal with Telstra/nbn in Melbourne. He then claimed to be in Melbourne Lonsdale Street. I baulked and then the obscene abuse started by calling me a stupid see you en tee. I found it easy to hang up straight away.

Caller: Indian call centre I knew it was a scam call before I answered but answered anyway because I enjoy wasting their time. He said he was from Telstra internet (which I don't have). I asked him what my account number was (obviously he couldn't answer). Then I asked him what my name was and he said that he couldn't say it on their "secure line". He then tried to make up some technical BS (I'm a software developer and what he said made no sense). He then asked: "Do you know the meaning of that"? I said "no, but I know the meaning of scamming cooli mudderchut (look it up)", and hung up.

Caller: Telstra Melbourne A female sounding Indian called and claimed to be from Telstra Melbourne and said my internet connection is not secure, it has been compromised by an overseas hacker. I told her there is nothing wrong with my internet connection, she insisted it has been compromised. When I asked her, so what are you going to do about it, she hung up on me.
