Caller: Said her name is Jessica. Indian accent Said she was from Telstra and asked if I had noticed slow internet. Told her I hadn’t switched computer on over weekend. Was told many homes in my area were experiencing slow connection over the last week along with breaches of security on our account. When I mentioned that my husband is an IT employed by a large company Jessica hung up.
Obviously a scam.

Caller: (08) 6388 0931 Said she was from eBay and someone was trying to buy a gift card from eBay for $499 and they were based in California. I have 2 factor verification on my account so I don’t think that’s possible. She wanted to help me cancel the transaction from her end and I declined. To be safe I went and changed my password for eBay.

Caller advised she was from Australian Cyber Security organisation; She reported my email address (cited it) and phone number (well she rang my mobile) were being used in the US and if I knew of this or anyone which I replied "no". She explained it could be used for illegal purposes and asked if I could switch on to loudspeaker I said no explained I was in an open office and she asked if we should do this another time and while i was speaking she hung up. No information provided or link touched but can see now in this site that she is a scammer. Blocking the number.

Caller: Pretended to be from Telstra Said he was from Telstra - and went directly into something about my internet - followed it up with OK -- which sounded like he expected to hear "yes" instead I said "No" and hung up -- saying yes could be recorded and abused in an effort to show agreement - thus I will not say yes to anything I did not initiate

Caller: "Amazon" Scam - Said someone was trying to buy Apple gift cards using my Amazon account. I lied and said it was me and they pivoted and gave me someone else email address to prove that someone else was trying to use my account. They knew my email address, phone number (obvs) and an old address (the one that is in the phone book).
