The phone rang, showing (08) 6383 6726. I picked it up and said "Hello". For just over a second a woman's voice babbled something in what sounded like Russian and then the call hung up.

He said that the number they were calling (my mobile) is with Telstra and that I qualify for a 50% discount for the next 6 months (oh goodie).
He asked if my service was going well and if I was happy with it (yep, service is fine).
Then they asked for email to set up the discount on my account.
I said, nice try I'm not falling for your scam, this phone isn't even with Telstra. He had the nerve to ask why I wasted his time!! Hangup.

Calls and hangs up, does not leave a voicemail. Suspect scam/nuisance/fraud call. Have blocked and deleted. Thanks to all who post.

Caller with foreign accent. Claimed he was from NBN. Ringing about connection problem I had reported some days ago.
Wanted me to connect Any Desk remote access.
I suspected this to be a scam call and I was not prepared to give remote access. This is a West Australia n number, and I had a similar call on (08) 6263 6363 a week or two ago, claiming to be from ISP.

Said I would get a Telstra discount … odd as I am not with Telstra

This number called me multiple times.

Call from "Commonwealth Bank", quickly spoken, hard to catch all words. If I had authorized a payment of $500, press ... or press ... to speak to representative. I don't use Comm Bank, so cut the call.

Said they were calling from Commonwealth Bank and that my card had been charged in California. Haven't been to Cali in 2 years & tried to get me to change my bank log in details.

When I answer they don’t speak, so I don’t say sh*t an wait. If I don’t hear nothing I hang up, or it cuts out. 🤷🏽 either way Australia Perth! you need to handle this

Had several calls from this Perth number. They never leave a message. I answered once and was met with silence but lots of chatting in background. Call centre.

Called today from (08) 6383 6726 in Perth Western Australia at 11:53 am nsw time no message was left called back got engaged signal scammers.

Voicemail picked up and the message was more background noise and then a bit louder and it sounded like Russian.

A Chinese lady recording, states parcel couldn’t be delivered as no one was able to sign for it, then message converted to Chinese

Caller: "ebay"

Said it was ebay over charge or some crap.

Called, left a blank voicemail. I checked here and discovered it's a nuisance call. Thankyou to everyone who posted.

It's a scam number. I've picked it up, and a girl said she is calling from Telstra about my internet speed. I don't even have a Telstra account.
