Hoax call about being arrested by the tax office... Cmon guys, get a bit more original please

Just had a call, they knew my name, asked if I have been involved in a crash, then hung up.

SCAM - Guy called with a pommy accent - saying he was calling in regards to the motor vehicle accident i had been involved in! I have never been in one they instantly hung up!

I got this call and tried to call them back but got a message saying the number was disconnected. I like to call them and string them along until they start swearing at you.

Caller: Scammers claiming to be tax office

Received a recorded message from this number and called back.
Answered by a woman with heavy Indian accent who said 'Australian Tax Office'.
She asked details about me to confirm who I am including address and date of birth which I automatically gave because it sounded genuine.
She subsequently referred me to a manager (again with heavy Indian accent) who said I was facing $200,000 fines but then starting saying too much that didn't make sense

Just to let you know....The ATO will always contact you by post, never by emails and very rarely by phone

Called me said they were following up about a car crash I’d been in. Asked them when and they guy said within the last 6 months. I asked for more details he couldn’t think of an answer and then told him I didn’t own a car and he hung up straight away. f*cking idiots. hope someone can trace the call

Got call, but rang only once when I picked up, the call died. Then I rang back and it immediately switched to an automated voice recording saying that it’s Amanda from the claims team and that she’s calling to say that I’ve been in a car accident, which I haven’t, that’s how I know it’s a scam ! Anyone calling you out of the blue, do not give any personal details, rather look up the ph nr yourself then call. Blocked nr.

I have been getting several calls from this number asking if I had been in a motor vehicle accident usually by some guy with a thick Indian accent only to get hung up on when my usual reply is no.

Automated voice saying something about they need to confirm my details following an accident I was involved in (have not been involved in an accident).

When I asked the guy his name he hung up straight away but I could hear a female in the background asking for an emailed address. I have had them ring the house phone & now my mobile & have blocked them from calling again

Ours was from (02) 6365 4944 and this one was too lazy to even say they were the Tax Office OR that a lawsuit had been filed. Just that arrest warrants would be issued unless I called them. Imagine even calling the number, let alone handing over any personal info!

Called a couple of times now. Both times with automated message claiming a lawsuit had been filed in my name and that I would be arrested if I don't call them back.
