This creepy Irish guy always calls asking for olivia

Modus Operandi:
Caller says you had an accident (sometime in the past) and many people would have been, and says you are entitled to money, and gets your personal details. I gave them all bogus details including car rego number. Then they promise to send paperwork to sign and confirm your address as well. Obvious phishing scam.

What will happen is they will either steal your identity or sell off your details or include them in their "sucker list" and sell that list on for easy targets.

You can expect this call if you list your car for sale, or do repairs or insurance claims for cars with some insurers. I've had friends who received these calls after doing above.

Do not give your real details. Ask for an ABN and return call number.

this number is a scammer. i answered the call and got a voice reply straight away saying it is an international call centre and all their operators are busy. we were better off without mobile phone, the internet and all computer technology...it sux

Seems like a scam. She got super cranky and had a go at me when I politely suggested this to her.

Received a call from this number and when I answered a recorded msg said "this is a worldwide call centre an agent will call you back" I then hung up.

Same thing, can't we have some privacy?

Just had same call asking if I had had accident in last 12 months ... I hung up, aware that this scam was going on. My daughter in Cairns had same call yesterday

call from (08) 6280 2114 to my work mobile. hesitated to answer, but did so, only for no one to answer then call ended by caller / 'hung up'.

Exact same as the comment below. Some guy said it was emergency response centre and asked if I had been in an accident I said no they then said has some one in the family reported an accident I said no, they said they will update the contact detail in their system and hung up.

Answered to muffled noises on other end sounded like recording , said hello , no answer

I had a very girl call from this call centre, said she was there to help me claim money after my car accident. The fact that she know i had done an insurance car claim makes me think my details have been sold by either HBF or the repairer.
There was a lot of background noise in the callcentre and that made it clear it was a scam.

This is a scam company. They cannot provide abn when requested. Suggests they are calling from Victoria and as such don’t need to provide it. This is not correct. I have been harassed by these people for 18 months now (sometimes calling from different numbers but always with the same story).

Looking for Lady. Suggested wrong number. Had similar calls in past. Young Aussie female accent this time. Hung up and blocked number. Scammers for sure.

Don’t answer it

called me numerous times, always at the same time, around 11 -10 AM. There is no answer or automatically disconnects when trying to call back.
100% scam call. do not answer.
what is even more frustrating is that my number is on the 'do not call' register but i'm still getting these calls.

I hung up straight away

Call was received at 10:20 am on Tuesday. I picked up, but no-one answered and the call ended.
