How can someone ring from a number that doesn’t show when looking up reverse number? Obviously a scam.

Recorded message ‘Hi my name is Steve I’m calling from the claims team....’

Caller: (08) 6271 3250

Said his name was Steve ringing about the accident i was involved in!!
Obviously I haven't been in an accident, so its a scam number.

Called back, went to the answering machine. Surely another telemarketer.

Answered, waited before speaking. An automated voice said "Hi, this is Steve calling you from (cant recall company name) regarding the accident you were involved in". Hung up straight away. Assume attempted scammer as I don't own a personal vehicle and haven't been involved in any accidents!!

6nnn and 8nnnn on number means it's a VoiP number (goes via computer and so can't be traced..)

Yeah , I reckon ! - now I just go on automatic and scroll up to request leave a text message !
Seems the phone companies have a lot of these numbers that don't exist just for the scammers - I now have 30 saved to my mobile as Scam1,Scam2,Scam3 etc .... : )

I got a call from Steve too this morning. Yes a scam phone call as I haven't had an accident.

(08)625 and (08)627 prefix numbers are regular scam calls. Do not answer.

Scam call about accident I was in ... only I wasn't so definitely a scam. A friend also got this call same spiel

I called it back and pressed 1 a Scottish guy answered so I quizzed him asked what company he wouldn’t answer then I said he was just a scam and he said he was just trying to keep me on the phone longer
