Recorded message claims to be the Commonwealth Bank alerting me to a transaction on my bank account - asking me to approve or decline . As if !!!!!!

Perth number so I answered. Reckons my number is being used over in America for money laundering. I said to her if that’s the case shouldn’t the police be calling me. She said the police are looking into it. Blah blah so hung up on her and blocked the number!

Answered and he said his name was John and apparently he was calling from the Department of VISA and Mastercard (had to laugh there!) - I replied with, "I'm sure you are" and he immediately hung up.
Bit of a worry that he did ask for me by name however. Thanks Optus data breaches! Grrrr.

Answered this call as was local perth number. Automated voice call from Brenda at ANZ, confirming a transaction of $1200 on my account. Press 1 to authorise etc etc.

I just answered for the fun of it.
This time it’s ANZ confirming a transaction of $1200. I pressed two and got put through some call centre.
And after a few minutes of chit chat confirming it was me who is doing the transaction, Im like cool- I don’t know how your doing to give me a transaction number when IM NOT EVEN WITH ANZ bank!!!
The hang up quick!! Lol

Had this number and a few others similar to this one call several times. I didn’t answer. It tried calling back- doesn’t ring at all. So presumably scam!!

I have been getting a lot of scam calls
