Claiming to be the ANZ bank saying there is a suspect charge of $1200 on my account. Don't bank with them and asking for information that banks wont ask for over the phone

I just had a phone call from this number, I didn’t answer, they didn’t leave a message

Number rang as I didn't recognise the number I didn't answer it. They did not leave a message. The number if now blocked based on other peoples experiences.

Pre recorded message saying they were from the ANZ bank. Asked to press 1 to approve payment, 2 to reject payment, etc. Obviously, I hang up as a bank would never ask via a pre rerecorded message for anything.

answered, no one on the other end they hung up

Rang, didn’t answer and they didn’t leave message. Blocked, assumed scam call.

Rang, no answer. When I spoke they hung up immediately.
Now I've blocked the number.

Told me they are from visa and I’ve made over seas payments. I asked what bank is this and said anz who I don’t bank with.

Scam . said from commonwealth bank and suspicious transaction. Don't have a commonwealth bank account!

Said they were from commonwealth bank but I said I don’t bank with them and he hung up
