I called back number (08) 6228 4115 reached IVR for a company called Telstra.

This was a Telstra Call Centre employee in Perth, W.A., ringing me to ask if my new NBN & Home Phone Service was operating alright. She also asked me if I had any questions about the service or my bill. I have just had this service put on, so the call was perfectly legitimate. They definitely need to speak to a person and not an answering machine, which is why they kept hanging up on Steve (see other comment on this web page).
