Daily calls from this number.
Once left a msg on message bank with no actual voice speaking just silence. That now hasn't happened again but still getting calls.
Somehow they now have my family members mobile numbers asking for me.

It is not a scamming call its Telstra calling you back about something to do with you account with them....perhaps an existing order or issue with a current service.

Rang Telstra to organise NBN on Friday and within half an hour my landline which I only leave plugged in cause my elderly mother doesn't like call mobile starts ringing. Happened 3 times with 'private number' showing plus 'overseas call' and when it went to message bank hung up. Today my mobile rings asking if I placed an NBN order and I confirmed and he then wants full name with DOB. I said I'm not giving you my DOB for identification as I have confirmed an order was placed and you have my first name and you should have those details and you rang my mobile. Said he would lose his job if he didn't get my date of birth. I said you tell me my details since you rang my phone and I will confirm and he said he couldn't for security reasons. Will call Telstra Monday to confirm and advise for privacy and security reasons I am not giving out my date of birth.

Missed call on my mobile from this number. Recognise it as a nuisance call as I have had many from this number on my landline in the past (which I haven't answered). Reading through the comments on this page it is no coincidence that I was talking to Telstra this morning. How come Telstra has done nothing about this?

Pretended to be from Telstra and said the call was regarding the order placed a week ago, which was never done. The scammer was wanted info like date of birth. So hung up on her.

I booked a connection the day before with Telstra. He said he wanted to check details for the connection. I said I will call Telstra and check - gave no details. I rang Telstra and it is a scam.

Called me multiple times this week and last week. They said they're from Telstra regarding a recent order. I did place an order with Telstra recently, but this company is NOT telstra. Telstra is selling your information to offshore scammers. First time they called, I answered they asked me for my details, I said "since you called me, you can tell me my details" its a man's voice with an Indian accent, he starts to get really mad when you don't give him information. Today he called again and accidentally left me a voicemail, a man's voice again with Indian accent, laughing and speaking to what I assume are his colleagues? Speaking in another language not English. Don't answer this number the guy is a prick

Got call from this guy who claimed to work for Telstra, insisted to record my conversation , asking me to verify my details including dob and address. If he was from Telstra he would have my details already. I don't even know why Telstra would call me. I have been on the phone with Telstra for over two hours today. I was assured that they have resolved my query. He asked him to verify himself by sending me a SMS and he refused my right to request and hung up. What a scammer and I blocked this number on my phone.

Caller: TELSTRA SCAM (08) 6228 4108

(08) 6228 4108, Scammers called me 18/1/2022. I refused to part with DOB and personal details until they provided details of order. She said she couldn't give details without ID. She had problem! BEWARE: they're convincing , she sounded like an Ex Telstra employee, told me she'd end the call and not just a hang up. Purchased a new phone for my daughter 3 months ago, they called her first!
Obviously on the sales SCAM list. Telstra should be protecting our information!

Same caller, 3 Times (on my mobile) in under 2 weeks from (08) 6228 4108 asking for someone whose name I do not know, pretending to be from Telstra. The last time (today) I was not polite at all. I'm over it. I don't even have an account with Telstra and haven't for 22 years. Oh, and don't bother calling or writing to Telstra, they don't like complaints.

People from Telstra call centres are giving scammers our details. Without a doubt. Placed an order this week, took me 3 calls and hours on message to complete it, visit my parents today who got a call on their landline about an order I had placed!!! I haven’t used that phone for 20 years! Then got a call 6 hours later and she said…I spoke to your father today but wasn’t able to reach you! Need to do an ID check - why, the product is nearly here - I can’t say, just a quick Id check… loop a couple of times. Hang up straight away!!!! I would tell Telstra but I’ve lost enough hours of my life to them this week

Difficult to understand Asian accent said she was from Telstra. Thinking she wanted to sell me services, I immediately said I'm ok and don't need anything. She said something about a package to which I replied 'I don't think so and hung up. I'm glad I wasn't expecting anything like people waiting for NBN because it would be easy to get caught up.

I had set up a contract to take Telstra NBN Broadband a few days before. All the male knew was my first name which I assume was from my email address. All he had to say was that I did a deal with Telstra a few days ago. So I should give him my ID and this would enable him to confirm the deal I had done. This man who sounded Asian was the most arrogant, persistent man I have encountered on a phone. The conversation became a battle of wills. It went round and round in the same cycle for several minutes. He then gave me an "ID" number and said call 1800 903 277 and confirm that. He rang again before the end of the day. I didn't answer. Then next morning. I did not answer. I blocked the caller. I figured that even if he were from Telstra I would never do business with such a persistent arsehole, and Telstra would have to write to me if something needed confirming. I agree with John (above March 10): "These scammers are obviously getting information about people who have recently ordered the NBN." Yes. I am going to call Telstra about this. Thank you all so much for your reports above!!!! I have been thinking about this for a week.
