I got a text message asking me to call Verne on this number in relation to a friend of mine.

Said they were Lauren from Blaney. Do t know a person or company with those names.

Caller: Sophia Lopez

Claimed to be debt collector company. Fraudulent approach to recover money by calling me and asking for my friend by his name. I mean why you would contact me about my friend who owe money to you. I called my friend to let this know that pioneer credit called me and asking for you and he said everyone close to him got their call.
Bunch of idiots running a fake company asking for money by calling everyone who knows you.
That’s how safe our information is now a days.

Answered the called was asked if I am *insert name* I said no then the person proceeded to ask if I know anyone with that name, I said no. The caller then started saying the call may be recorded for training purposes, once I heard that I hung up and blocked the number.

Called me at 6.30 in the morning, called back and it went to voicemail. Sounded like an Indian accent - something about a credit company. Told them where to go.

The caller said she was looking for someone named Ellen Hodge, I think. No mention of business or seeking my information. She apologised and ended the call. I can't tell if it's a wrong-number-dial or a scam of some sort, but, since the number was reported previously, it seemed worth a mention.

I saw the 08 Prefix so I let it go to message bank as anyone I know in WA calls me on their mobile.Female voice with a 'sub-continent' accent told me I had a personal matter to attend to and needed to call her back urgently. . . .Yeah right.

Left voicemail to ensure I could hear them typing away on their computer, re-enacting a call centre I’m assuming. Not enough to warrant a call back, but certainly worth hitting the block button. Clearly another scam. Don’t be foolish and engage in any form of contact with this number just block it. Not interested in confirming a thing with them that may provide them with information required for identify fraud. Just think about it folks, use your common sense.

Persistent caller, I have not answered and it does not leave a message on the machine.

asking for date of birth, wonder why they want to know your details, she said she been looking for someone else....

person called, I rang it back, she said my name and then asked me to verify my date of birth. I wouldnt give it to her and advised she called me so I wasnt giving her any information unless she could tell me what company was requiring to get payment. she said I had an urgent matter against my credit file. I advised that was bogus as I have credit simple and know there isnt anything against my credit file and hung up. very insistent to get my details, knew my name and year of birth not the dates for day and month. dodgy as.

I had a call from this number too, got my name half right, and female caller asked me to call Trevor back about a private matter so the issue could be resolved. Very glad I ran this number through google .

I received a text message, asking me to call this number. Text says it's Verne, & he's been trying to call me. Pfft, yeah right. No idea who it is, so not going to call. I'm in Sydney, I have no idea why I'd be getting calls from Perth.

I called back number (08) 6214 2480 rang 4 times then goes to busy tone.
