I called back number (08) 6214 2471 spoke to a guy from pioneer credit a financial services provider.

Dale txt'd me to call him about a 'David' so called. Have txt'd back for the Family name and now discover these entries. Thanks for the feedback folks.

These scum bags will call anyone they can asking about a friend, relative, colleague etc. they are debt collectors who chase any avenue they can by harassing people to find details or send messages to those who they believe owe money. The issue is they are a third party who has purchased the debt from other financiers, in most cases the debts are already legally statute barred being over 5 years old, and furthermore they have no contract with the original party so they have no legal ability to pursue the debt given they were not a party to the original contract. Never speak to them, never give them any comment. As soon as they introduce themselves ask them to remove your contact details from their database and threaten them with legal complaints for breach of privacy and harassment.

Same thing happened to me today. Dale text me to call him about a "Christopher". Didn't text back. The first thing I did was to check to see if it is a potential scam and voila, based on the comments on this site, it appears it is. So, ignore this number if it calls/texts.

Tried to call me but I didn't pick up the phone. Later on texted me saying you need to call back in regards to Sabin. I never had anyone in my life called Sabin. So blocked their numbers.

Definitely a scam - will speak of you being in a car accident that never happened - we simply ignore any calls from this number.
