Caller: Debt Collectors

If these "people" (I call other things) try to contact you, chances are you had a credit card or loan you defaulted on due to not being able to pay when required or just stopped paying for what ever reason.
The bank or financial institution you owed money to have sold your debt to the aforementioned "people".
They will start by lying to you saying that they represent the bank &......, they don't represent anyone bar themselves.
When whoever you owe sells this debt to the "debt collectors", (for approx.10% of what it was), that's it !
Case closed, I still have an account with the bank that their credit department sold my debt to this excuse for a business.
They do not have a legal leg to stand & can not enforce anything & they will threaten to put your name on file as a bad credit risk. (which they can do)
Depending on your age & many other things, such as health, wealth, etc, you may have some problems or not, if your wanting a house loan for example.
If your my age (getting old), you can do what I did after getting tricked by this bunch liars, just don't pay them, & do not answer their calls. (do you ever answer a call when you don't know the number or it's from interstate ? I don't)
You'll also never get a real legal letter from a law firm.
As I said, you may or may not choose this this path, up to you.

Scammers

Debt collectors who they won't tell you the name of their business. They ask if you know someone they are looking for. Don't give them any answers, just hang up.

Appeared to be debt collectors. Asked if I lived next door to someone - had specific information. Rude and no information given when asked.

I called back the number (08) 6214 2225 and reached vm that did not mention the company name
