Recorded message scam from the "claims dept"

Caller: (08) 6205 3411

this number rang me said they were from the claims dept for accidents, pressed 2 to opt out and the call ended, i put my phone on private called it back and it said the number was not in service... definite scam

hung up when I answered. Tried to call back but it has a disconnected tone

Message left on phone from this number. Returned call and told woman that reported accident was a load of BS and she hung up. Returned the call immediately and spoke to a man who knew my name and address.Same story, said I was in an accident. Happening too often, block the number but they seem to move to then get another number.

Two calls in the past 4 days from (08) 6205 3420 and (08) 6555 8030saying the same thing about the claims department. Had a few calls in past years as well with same message. It is possible to block these numbers but they just keep changing

Received a missed call from this number - rang back and he said he was ringing about a car accident that I had, when I asked when this happened, he said 'well if you don't know, stop asking silly questions and say you have the wrong number' and hung up on me!

Phishing scam. Consider submitting a report to www.scamwatch.gov.au - I did, very easy to do.

A spoofed phone number for Perth saying they are from the "claims dept" and that I had been in an "accident". A dirty lowlife scammer trying to get your personal details. Number is blocked

Knew my name. Said he was from Insurance company about a claim. I haven’t had an accident so spoke Chinese to him. He got very pissed off and said ‘You think I don’t know I know your Australian you d*ckhead?’
So I hung up

Caller: Apparently "First Response"

I called back and a guy answered. When asked which insurance commission, he said ICWA. He then said he was from "First Response". I queried why this was not the ICWA number and he said we are from First Response. They use personal information used when filling in claim forms when people don't tick the "Privacy" button. They are hired by solicitors to try and drum up business for them. Who would seriously use a solicitor that was recommended by a stranger over the phone???

Claimed he was Steve from the "Claims Department". They constantly change numbers.

This phone number is driving me crazy I had this number calling me three times in one day. I think phone companies like Optus and Telstra should do something about it. We pay for private connection and we get this anytime during the day.

I called back and a guy with a strong UK accent answered and did the same insurance claim rubbish so I hung up

Scam for a false accident claim. Block it!

What the hell i have had no motor accident in the last 10 years. Hang up reports the number and block it!!!! Bleeding scammers.....

Hung up when I answered. Search results indicate it’s a scam number so didn’t bother calling back.

This number called twice and wouldn’t leave a message I rang back and he hung up

I've just had a call on my mobile from (08) 6205 3311 and a pre-recorded massege in an Australian accent asked if I've had a claim in the last 6 months (press 1 for yes and 2 to opt out) - when I made no selection, the called ended. I called them back from my work phone and the same recorded message answered my call. This is clearly a scam
