Caller: Jason from Australian Cyber Security Centre

Received a call claiming that my email and phone number were being used for illegal activity in the USA. They had my name, email, and location correct. I listened to the spiel for a bit while I googled the ACSC. I told "Jason" I would contact the government agency direct and then they hung up.

Caller: Claimed to be Telstra wanting to offer me 50% of my account

Caller did the whole “Telstra will not ask you for details over the phone” and then sent me a Microsoft password reset code to confirm the email account to send the details to. Trying to hack into my account clearly. I hung up.

It said, "If you receive this call, you have missed a message from the Government. then it went on to press 1" so I hung up. They can contact me through the proper Government channels.

When answered, the line took a good couple of seconds to connect, then claimed to be from Telstra and was calling on behalf of my internet connection. Ended the call very quickly. Caller sounded very strange, neither scam like nor Telstra like. More like my nana calling after she’s just woken up. The caller sounded elderly and unsure. Very odd.

This call showed as coming from Perth, WA. I had missed the call, so it diverted to my voicemail however the caller did not leave a message. The number was not one that I recognized and I strongly suspect it was a attempted scam call, as I have had similar calls from the same area before. I haven't tried calling back, it'll be interesting to see if they try calling me again.

Caller: Claimed to be ebay customer service

Claimed to be ebay customer service telling me that there was a suspicious purchase on my account. Hung up on me when I said I would cancel my account myself.

Assume that this was a scam. I don’t answer unknown calls. Rang 3 times and no message left.

Rude, demanding information when I advised they had the wrong number. based on behaviour believe to be scam

Caller: I don’t know

Didn’t answer and left no message. 4th unsolicited call of the day - all with a record of being scam calls.

Claim now be from PayPal. Automated call.
