When I called back - no dial tone and the line dropped out.

Answered call, they hung up as soon as I said hello... been getting calls from different numbers each time around the same time most week days. Buggers won't talk to me so I can't waste their time and make them angry when they realise I'm not gullible and haven't fallen for their scam.

Claimed to be from Optus telling me I had a business service payment to make. Obvious scam, I don't even use Optus! Probably related to the Optus hack of 2023.

Said they were receiving messages from my computer & that it might have malware etc etc. Yeh right! I just said “I’m hanging up now”
