I called them attempting to waste their time but they hung up on me this is 100% a scam the claimed to be paypal support

Message left saying its from EBay mircosoft item bought
I don't use Ebay so scammer

I received an email saying I had a money request from Valencia Maddox (never heard of her) ‘to purchase Google Pixel for $599.99.’ There’s a button where I can press Pay Now. The note also said : “If you didn’t place this order. Call us at out toll-free number (08) 6186 1969 (yes full stop and capital in the middle of the sentence) So I searched number here. I don’t want to ring cos I’ve heard they can get in your phone that way and probably not but id rather be cautious than caught out. What’s confusing is my email has told me this email is from a trusted sender. I might ring on my kid’s phone which isn’t linked to my PayPal. The whole email looks official but I don’t like that Pay Now button lol
