Insurance Commision for my accident He was unsure what accident it was

When I asked his name and company he hanged up.

Insurance scam call.

It's a scammer pretending to be from the RAC, saying that you'd just been in an accident. When I told him I don't have a car (and no car insurance lol) he hung up.

Caller claiming to be calling on behalf of the commissioner of insurance

Called me twice in the last week claiming I could receive 12-15k in compensation for my car accident. Could barely understand the lady that called me the first time but definitely noticed the long pauses when I asked her questions like what insurance company was she from and why it took them a year and a half to contact me after my car accident. Didn't even bother picking up the second call, if it wasn't a scam they would have left a message.

Called, hung up, tried to call back says line busy. Usually when line always busy it's a scammer.

Called and when answered hangs up. maybe because i let it ring a little longer than usual.

Sounded like a call centre. Initially said was from RAC asking about a car accident , then put onto a manager who said he was from Legal first and to use a link he would send to claim $15k for a shoulder or back injury . Since I have recently made a claim for an accident was confused since there were no injuries. Fortunately I told them I was going to call my insurance for confirmation of what was going on . Now found that others have had the same calls . Glad I didn't totally fall for it .

Knew my name.
Hung up when I asked him where he was calling from.
Scam for sure.

Scammer, calling about “car accident”. Don’t answer!

Claimed to be calling from commissioner insurance company or something. And an Indian lady was asking me if I was in an accident, I said ohhh the car accident 2 weeks ago? (I wasn’t) she then give it to another male Indian and this male Indian says he’s from RAC and talk about my car accident happened two weeks ago and it’s not my fault and I will get a compensation of 12k - 15k of cheque in the next 2 weeks. They will try all sorts to suss out your car and how your accidents happened. I would say totally scam but the fact they know my name is just…

Definitely a scammer. Will ask for money to process a bogus claim with promise of much more money to follow. Very hard to get to stop if one responds. Recommend just hanging up the block the number.

I never answered called to be calling on Saturday afternoon I thought it couldn't be anything good.

they are still at this, some how had my name but as I have not had an accident knew straight away this was a total scam

Got a call from this number. He said he was from the Insurance Commission of WA!? Don’t know what to believe in these times of spam calls!?

Caller wanted me to falsify my accident report and include spinal cord and shoulder injury in order to receive compensation.
