They claimed to be insurance company saying I had an car accident in the last 2 years (I haven't)
They knew my name.

Scam Callers - answered and was a call centre overseas - called back and line is dead - block this number

Said they were from WA dept of transport and that I had Dad an accident a few months ago. When I answered the call, it took awhile for the caller to answer me and there was noise in the background.

didnt leave any message. After reading comments I won't be calling them back.

Have had repeated calls from this number since 9th January 2023. It comes up as "Telemarketer" so I have not answered and just blocked this number now. They never leave a message so you know it's dodgy. Do not answer!

Took a while to answer when I picked up. There was noise in the background, as others have said. Said she “came to know you’ve had a car accident, is that right?” I said no. She hung up. I’m always wary of voice recording, and saying “yes” to anything, wondering what they might use that for! So I never entertain these and keep responses brief!

Australian Insurance commission- asked if I had had an accident in the last 2 years, I said no I had not had an accident in the last 10 years. The scammer knew my first name. He hung up after I told him to stop scamming people

Took ages to answer , heard noises in the background.

When I answered there was a lot of noise in background I asked caller to identify themselves and they hung up.

Told them this is a load of rubbish - stop trying to rip people off

As others have reported, there was lots of background noise, the caller spoke rapidly in broken English that was hard to interpret, mentioned something about an “accident”. No doubt a scam call. I only answered the unrecognised number because it appeared to be from my city. I suspect it really comes from an offshore call centre.

Started to tell me I had a car accident. There was a lot of noise in the background. I told them to stop, they were a scam call. They immediately hung up.

Scam insurance call. Asked whether I had any accidents in the last couple of years and when I said no, proceeded to ask whether any of my family had. When I also said no, they hung up.
