I received a automated message saying I owed $299.99 & it would be deducted from my bank account.
When I tried to call back, then number had been disconnected.

I called back from a landline # they answere with amazon prime australia please how can we help you, your membership is now due, if you do not cancel we will have the $300 payment direct from your account

Dodgy call from Amazon. They are deducting a large amount of money from my bank account within 24 hours. Scam I hope.

They left a message saying
You missed a call from (08) 6146 1870, who said "$99.99. And same(?) will be debited from your account. If you have not placed the order please call us at 618." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Like WTF?? How do thru access my account?? This fraudulence Im calling the police

dodgy low level grade scam, avoid

BLOCK NUMBER - FAKE AMAZON SCAM. Will leave a automated message saying $299 will be deducted from your account.
Dont even have a amazon account lol

I did the same and guess what, they hung up on me.

Claiming I owe $299 for Amazon purchase which I didn't make it's a scam

Received two calls today when I called back, said they were from Amazon and that they were about to deduct money from my account. They then wanted me to open my bank app. I asked for his name he said “spider” I asked if his last name was “man” by chance and he laughed and said yes my name is “Spider-Man” what a troll. SCAM DO NOT ANSWER.

Apparently Amazon stating that someone was trying to scam me and had ordered a gift card... did I want to cancel it? I said all they had was my phone number no name etc and they hung up!!

Number (08) 6146 1870 Keeps ringing my mobile. From other comments on this site, obviously not a genuine call. Why can't TELSTRA, as they are the major provider of phone lines/numbers, be forced to cancel a dodgy phone number if it has been reported to this site say, at least five times (or less). Just a thought Telstra.....

Caller: SCAMMER. claims to be from Amazon

Purchases made form overseas on your credit card..

I called an Indian lady answered and said this is Amazon, I asked for her name and then she hung up on me. So totally a scam

Caller: Said they were from Amazon Aust.

They said someone in China had my details & was trying to purchase a $300 gift voucher & they would tell me what to do to stop it.

A female voice said: The amount of $299.99 will be withdrawn from my account within the hour. If this is not my order I need to ring (08) 7200 1045.

received call from this number. did not answer. Telstra's missed call message left from them was "Hundred (?) and $99.99 and the same will be debited from your account within an hour. Automatically. If you have not placed the order. Then please press one to."

This is a scam demanding that I enable $299.99 to be automatically debited from my account for my purchase claiming account details are incorrect and wanting me to provide correct information. I have not ordered anything and do not have any debts owing.
