Scam ATO call. Trying to hook you into paying them the tax debt, otherwise they will press allegations against you

Taxation office is filing a case under your name from tax fraud and investigation team of our department is investigating you and your family.

Tax Dept saying to my 16yo daughter that her and her family had tax debt (claimed to be from ATO) and we need to pay $4k immediately - she was so scared hearing a voicemail like that - absolute scum.

Tax fraud call. Do not answer and they leave a message to advise you are under investigation.

Call alleging that Tax was owed, threatening legal action, arrest & jail. Also there were 2 persons on the call, the initiator, then was passed to a woman to confirm that what was being said was correct.

Spoke to my tax agent who advised call was a scam

I rang once and got disconnected

recorded message from 'tax office' saying my family was getting sued for tax fraud and i had to ring them back.
