Unknower caller - Inidan decent - phone to tell me my gmail account has been hacked and stated I received an email yesterday. He stated my gmail was used to create a Facebook accounts, Twitter account and Tinder account. Quite concerning that he also had my home address. Stated I didn't any eamil from ASCS so he resent it and gave me the number (08) 6102 7974to return his call if any issues. These bastards are getting clever.

Caller: Jake Harris Indian

He phoned saying my email had been compromised by someone from California. I asked for details to.call him back. He must have thought I believed him because he provided the details.

Caller: Indian accent lady by the name of Lisa

She said that my hotmail account has been hacked by someone in America by the name of Nicholas something, doing child pronography. And she was very persistent she is calling from ACSC Australian Cyber security office when I asked her for some prove. She said they have sent me multiple emails about this already. Scary part is she know my full name and email address. She even had ago at me for not believing her "what's wrong with you madam?" and demand I put my phone on speaker so I can follow her instructions where she wants to give me a website address for me to go to and see the prove for myself.II said I will call her back after I check my email and she gave me the phone number (08) 6102 7974. I google the number after I hung up and found myself typing here

Caller: Indian

He said that my hotmail account has been hacked. He said he is from Australian syber security office. I said I will call you back after I check and he gave me the phone number (08) 6102 7974. He called me from (03) 9712 2872 for the first time and called me from (02) 4062 7102 for the second time.

I just has a call from this number, also saying someone in America has compromised my email and phone number. Once asked if I could look at number and compare to ACSC website, which she said she was from, she hung up. What a B**ch.

Was given this number to call back (not happening) she knew my gmail address and claimed my email was hacked, similar story to the other comments here.

Caller: Lisa Parker or Barker

This is a SCAM DO NOT GIVE OVER ANY INFORMATION TO THIS PERSON - This women had an Indian accent and called me from (07) 3038 7496. She said she was from ACSC and stated my email had been hacked from a man called Nicholas from California and was using my email for illegal operations like pornography. She wanted me to follow her instructions, she was so forceful in trying to retrieve information from me. She retrieved nothing. I told her to give me a number and I would call her back. The number she gave me was (08) 6102 7974. I then called ACSC and advised them of what happened and they confirmed that it definitely was a scam. These people, seriously!!!!!!!!

Stated that Optusnet account had been comprised and being used in USA. Provided for my husband to ring back,.Not happening.

Same thing happened to me today, same scenario. Female Indian accent but used name Lisa Barker. Said email address used in America and wanted me to search different apps on my phone. Gave me this number of (08) 6102 7974 to call back to confirm phone call not a scam. First rang from Sydney number and when I hung up they rang back from ACT number. Fake as, be careful.

Same as the massages above - caller was a woman, heavy Indian accent, said she was calling from my service provider etc. I asked to spaek to supervisor, she gave me the number (08) 6102 7974. I called my service provider & left a email reporting scam, also sent detailed email to Scamwatch.

My experience is similar to what previous people have reported.

Caller: Indian Guy from SCSC

Called and said my email address had been hacked by someone in America and that they had opened multiple accounts under Facebook etc and that they were doing illegal things with it like money laundering and pornography. I told them I was at work so couldnt do anything and he asked me to call back (08) 6102 7974 between 8 and 5. He said they are in Perth WA.

phone to tell me my yahoo account has been hacked. He stated my yahoo is sending CP and someone was logging in in America - what was alarming is he had my name and address- which I never confirmed -asked me to give him the What is my ip address to verify my location - thats when i felt i needed to end it and asked how can i call him back - he gave me the number (08) 6102 7974 to return his call when i tried to get him off the line

Called to say that my gmail account had been compromised and that people in California were using my identity and details to fraudulently scam people etc. I can see no evidence of this. Indian accent with a name like Richard Wilson?

same as other people have called about - also calling spam watch - Call to say gmail been hacked and my ID and email and phone are being used by someone in another company whom created facebook and twitter accounts and making illegal transactions from my email. wanted me to confirm my email address and phone number. I asked him for his number which he gave as (08) 6102 7974. I have not called it or done anything else except google the number bringing me here. I also know this to be a scam.

Same as others above - Call to say gmail been hacked and my ID and email and phone are being used by someone in another company whom created facebook and twitter accounts and making illegal transactions from my email, Advise to log into whats my IP, I said im not near my computer, and he said you can do it on your phone, I asked him for his number which he gave as (08) 6102 7974. I did not call it, or login the the site. I knew it was a scam.

Caller: David Brown

David Brown called me to say my mob ph number had been used by Lorraine Nolan to open up accounts on Facebook Twitter and Tinder in the USA, gave me an email address but his Indian accent was so thick i couldn't understand it. He said he was from the Australian Cyber Security Centre and give me the number (08) 6102 7974 to call back on. I told him it was ok and nothing to worry about as the Fed Police were monitoring all my calls for another matter....he couldnt hang up fast enough.....

Caller: Says he is calling from Yahoo mail security. Said his name is David Brown (with a very strong Indian accent lol)

As above, saying my phone has been compromised and gave me the pitch about ip address in the states. Says someone named Nicholas Andresko has signed me up to fb, twit ect... Quite the spell... I suspect these people have some info and want to con you into giving them the rest so that they can really do a number on you...
