Most likely this was an attempted scam call. I declined the call then tried to call the number using another phone (landline,) and got the ubiquitous "Telstra advises that the number you have called is disconnected..."

Getting loads of calls from numbers like this I don't recognise. (08) 6102 5273, 5272, 5271.
All seem to be spoofed numbers so don't answer them as they are scammers.

Caller: STOCK INVESTMENT.

THIS PERSON THAT CALLED ME WAS FROM PERTH THEY WERE HARD TO HEAR BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT AN OPERTUNITY FOR ME TO INVEST IN A COMPANY ON THE STOCK MARKET. THEY THEN PROCEDED TO TELL ME THEY GOT MY DETAILS FROM A SURVEY I DID LAST YEAR WHICH IVE NEVER DONE. I ASKED HOW THEY REALLY GOT MY DETAILS THEY ENDED THE CALL

International or VOIP delay. Bad American accent but asked for me by first name. Stated they got my number from Commsec and some other unintelligible (and probably mythical) company from being on a list of potential investors. I asked them to make sure I am taken off that "list" and not to call in future... I'll await another call and then tell them I killed the person they've asked for and stole his phone...
