scammers saying ato i owe money i called him on it and he said i was bigger impostor than him as i gave him a fake name i explained im a police officer and said i was fraudulent

Received email about an Amazon order which I never made. Checked the customer service number which was (07) 5641 1823 and read the complaints. These scammers are now changing tack. So be aware.

Caller: Scam call

ATO scam call. Even the scammer show your local police station phone number and threatening you that he can arrest you, don’t trust. They have a software to show police phone number to your mobile.

yes i had a call from this no. claiming to be a layer (i think) re my tax evasion. quickly hung up and blocked no.

Said they were the tax office but when I called back they hung up on me three times.

Got a call from this no (07) 5641 1823 saying I owe tax and will be sued

Same. Someone left a voice message that says "This call is from Legal Department of Australian Taxation Office etc."
I spent a year in Brisbane but now live in Sydney, so the area code 07 is suspicious.
And I'm a student and don't have earnings = no income tax to pay.

Received a miss call from this number today. It left a voicemail saying that calling regards sth to do with tax. Call from Southport Queensland
