Silence and then automated voice around the 7 second mark says goodbye and hangs up. I've blocked them

Call cut off on answering- May be they try to record voice. Hence sometimes best not to speak much . Suspect a scammer

Same as above. I answered, "Hello" was met with silence then a beep and "Goodbye." I blocked it because no legitimate business does this. I used to work in debt collection and when we had a hard case we were told this was a way to confirm numbers are connected. I no longer work for this credit corp because they are like lion or pioneer of fake finance.

She had an Indian accent. I asked if she is calling from India. She said, "no sir, we are calling from Melbourne"! I asked why the area code is not showing she is calling from Melbourne. She hung up on me!

Received a call from Matthew. There was a delay in him coming onto the line and all I could hear was a boiler room like background noise (like a call centre) Matthew asked to speak to a particular person in the organisation. I said they were not available but I would help him. He then proceeded to hang up on me. A professional company would not do this. Red flag - screams SCAM SCAM SCAM

I agree. I'm kicking myself for answering with my name this time. There was silence in response then a beep and a recorded voice said "Goodbye". It definitely recorded me. DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER.

They asked me about a domain name i have and were saying they were web consultants.

I have had several calls from these morons and all they do is call. I said they can stop freaking calling me and they are wankers. Very fed up with scammers calling my number! I’m getting rude now as they are obnoxious twerps

They ring then hang up. I have also been receiving calls overnights ( like 2.17am, 3am, 5am, 5.17am etc ).
Blocking numbers as I go but all seem to be tied in as all started at once.

Why are these scammers allowed to operate.

Phone rang, I picked up but no body spoke after 7 seconds it hangs up. interesting thing is it's a landline number but if you call it back you get a Telstra message saying "This MOBILE number is disconnected" definitely a scam.
