Guess if not got your from answering a "survey" online, they use the way i saw years ago with Landlines. 1 operator starts with (my local area) 86821000, then 86821001, until 86821099. Another starts with 86821100 to 86821199. Is how they call unlisted/silent numbers

Cold Caller representing "Insurance Line". Rang a number on the "Do Not Call" register.

Just received a call from this number, I didn't pick up. I had Bupa pass on my number to several third parties without my consent so when a number is unknown I let it ring out. If it's not a telemarketer they normally leave a message. Safe to say I am also no longer with Bupa....

Got a call from the same number and they hung up on me as soon as I answered.

I'm with you Barry. I've had my brand new, unadulterated number for <1 month, and already 'they' have it. Everywhere I have recorded it so far have one of these watertight privacy policies where the business will only use it for business related venture. I don't answer and I don't call back - these places never leave a message. Just so damn annoying.

I said nicely "I'm fine thanks. But thanks for the call though"
He replied sarcastically "haha, fine for what? I haven't said anything"

Some idiots called me and hang up on me. Glad I've googled them and found all those other people complaining about them.

These dolts got me today - I did the hanging up before they got past saying who they are. I NEVER give my mobile number to anyone online or anywhere else unless I know the person - always use the landline - No idea what list this lot have purchased to pick me up.

Confirm other posts and when I returned their call, it is a mob called Australian Contact Centre flogging insurance to all and sundry. I had a pleasant discussion with them about how this is an abuse of phone privileges. Offered to put me on the do not call register but I prefer not to disclose my number and to block them.

They just called. I just ignored.
Like to know how they got my number as it is unlisted!
Why isn't there a law or something against these harassment calls?

I've received many calls from this number and they've hung up everytime I've answered. I wanted to know who they were, so I came on here and now I've decided to block the number.

similar experience to everyone - call cut out as soon as I said hello, and spent next 10 mins wondering whether to call back, and someone suggested 'Reverse australia'. Glad they did and saved me wasting my time.

If they haven't the decency to leave a message, they get blacklisted. Sooooooo unprofessional! I will never buy insurance from anyone over the Phone! They do not remove your number from their list!
