Caller: Charity Choice

Keeps ringing but does not leave a message. I called back and they said it was from Charity Choice but it was a recorded message.

I picked up the phone, not intending to speak, and a man's voice, possibly a robot, said it was Charity Choice, some company calling on behalf of blah blah blah. I fervently wish that I was allowed to have a choice: I would choose not to have total strangers butting into my home whatever I'm doing and whenever they feel like it.
If these are actually legitimate calls and the callers have more than one brain cell, they must inhabit a different planet from the one on which people are being driven totally crazy by the plague of scam calls. Many no longer answer the phone, and that's if they haven't already given up their landline phones altogether. I recently had 11 attempted calls from a blocked number in the space of only three hours - and yet these call centres appear to think we want even more unsolicited callers butting into our homes. They cannot be serious.

I’ve started picking up and saying “ hello, …… massage parlour, how can I help you” and they hang up

I have had at least 5 different numbers with the same prefix, all saying "Caloundra" (Sunshine Coast, Qld) all call around 5:30pm Qld time. I have blocked each one, but still another similar number calls. Anyone got a loud whistle I can blow for next time they call and I actually think about picking up? This is harassment.

This is nothing short of egregious, relentless harassment. They will not stop calling me although I've never answered. The previous calls were from (07) 5345 6204 and 6428. Now it's 6424. You can block the numbers but they just keep using different ones.

Have blocked similar numbers and just get so pissed of after having to get up from a meal or a job and find out it is just another one of these unknown nuisance charity calls. Scamming scumbags waisting valuable time.

If this is a charity... I will not now or ever donate to them. Their phone methods with no message left and constantly shifting phone numbers is as far as I am concerned nuisance calls. If they are legitimate and genuine about seeking donations they should at least have the decency to leave a message. Blocked... without hesitation.

Govt and Telcos don't want to do anything about it, to do so means all the offshored call centres cannot show as a domestic phone number!

Have found a way via non Norton security site charity choice have a stop calling icon. Have used this and will monitor. THEY ARE STALKERS at best. So many different numbers being used and they call at all hours of the day and evening. So rude. Will now no longer consider donating to a charity if this is the way you get treated for your support to said charity.

I will no longer purchase tickets for any charity if this is the sh*t your charity puts us through via purchasing lists I guess. Have complained to Telstra lets see how that goes LOL

Call from Caloundra, Queensland. Received another call from this location on a slightly different number. I don't know anyone from there so didn't answer. No message was left so I have blocked the number.

Call said it was from Caloundra, Queensland. Didn’t answer as I don’t know anyone from there. They didn’t leave a message.

Have had at least 3 calls today from unknown numbers and this is just the latest. Frequency of such calls is out of control, why can't the telco's or the govt do something? So I just won't answer calls (on either mobile or house line) that I don't know or aren't on my contacts list. If its important and legit, they will leave a message. Fed up.
