Caller: CLAIM THEY ARE TELSTRA THIEVING F###ing scammer. Say they are Telstra and internet is being disconnected today. Press 1 to connect to TELSTRA, 2 for something else. Recorded announcement. So dumb they think everyone is using TELSTRA for Internet. Time telcos immediately disconnected these cretins phones and/or automatically recorded messages and sent them to AFP for prosecution.

Caller: Automated call claiming to be Telstra Same call, asking to press 1 or 2, etc. Be careful never to press any button as this could take you to a queue on a very expensive line to someplace, specifically set up to rip you off. Don't know how it works technically, but it's probably the whole point of the scam call.

Same as others - recording claiming to be from Testra, that my phone was going to be disconnected today. Only listened to option 1 then hung up. Ironically my phone bill arrived today - all is as normal. I agree. Why can't something be done about these calls.
