Claims department for AAMI (Suncorp insurance) following up about a claim

Suncorp Insurance and its subsidiary insurance companies - APIA, etc.

This number has called me several times , however it rings a couple of rings then stops. Not sure who it is - too many 'scam' calls going around these days to actually 'ring that number'!!! Doesn't sound a safe number!!!! (Have read all the comments posted here about this number)'

Caller: SUNCORP INSURANCE

It is suncorp Insurance. I asked them to call me back. ITS SAFE

This is the Claims Department for AAMI, APIA, Suncorp, etc. They will only be calling you if you have a claim in with them.
This is a legitimate caller and I suggest you answer it.

I called back number (07) 4688 7000 it says the number is not in service anymore.

This is a legitimate call. They were following up on a car accident I was involved in last week.

It is the thieving scumbags at Suncorp / Shannons / AAI.
Ringing to stuff you around and put you through the ringer.

asked if it was my number and to call back re: claim.
Only thing is: I haven't made a claim.

They claimed to be from GIO.

This is number is used by the Suncorp claims section. It is not a scam but if you ring back it will not connect you . I received this call but failed to answer, and rang back my claim manager on her direct number who stated she had just called me.

AAMI - Car Insurance claim - left a message to return

When I called this number it diverted to a pre recorded message representng AAMI, Suncorp group saying that "it would call me back"

Called, left message, from Apia insurance.

when you call the number back it says " the person you have called on this number is not in service, please call the alternate number", then call disconnects.
