Caller: Yourtown fraud Yourtown
How do they always get home improvements and furniture to come to a nice round number? That is quite hard to do and defeats the purpose of using the gold to round up. The gold is always a nice round number eg $50,000 in gold bullion. Someone is inflating the prices of home improvements and furniture to make it come to a nice round number not even off by a cent. Theyre clearly pocketing some of the money. How else is the gold always a round number to make up the difference between the 2 prize homes?

It's yourtown.
Technically it is a scam though. Have a look at the prize home draws with option to purchase 2 homes. They make up difference with gold but the gold is always a nice round number eg $50,000 in gold bullion. This is impossible for all other expenses to always come to a nice round number like that. They inflate prices of items and home improvements and pocket it. It is fraud and illegal. Go have a look for yourself

The caller identified himself as "Alex" from the fraud department of my bank. He specifically said "my bank" meaning the bank I use. He asked if I could confirm if I had transferred a large amount of money. It was definitely a scam call.
