I received a call last night supposedly about an accident I was involved in. I have not been involved in any sort of accident. I hung up immediately- picking on the wrong person.

These people are still stupid enough to think that we're going to fall for this car accident scam. Really people get a proper job.

Caller: The name that came up on my phone was Paul Jamieson

My mobile was suspicious and indicated it was a scam call. No message was left after I didn't answer.

Knew my name and tried to inform me that I had been in a minor accident over the past few years. When I stated that I didn't have a car the lady with a heavy accent said "Oh that's fine" and hung up on me.

Have had multiple vague calls from this number as well as (07) 4220 0556 caling about a 'car accident' I have had in the last 'few years'. I haven't been in any accidents whatsoever. As soon as I said that they hung up. I'm not even with RACQ.

Caller: Muffled Indian accent

Told me I had been in an accident - I asked for name and company name - response was more muffled than first time - then she was ringing about a recent car accident I was involved in - I asked when that was supposed to be considering I hadn’t driven for 18 months - she hung up

Female with an accent named "kelly" Calling about a recent car accident. At 8:30 pm. When I told her she wasn't really calling about a car accident she said what? So I said if she was going to scam me she really needed to work on her story line..... She hung up. When I rang back it just rang out no answer. 3rd time I have gotten a call like this.

Heavy accented male - after several attempts I understood he said he was calling from RACQ and I had been involved in an accident, which was untrue. It was their second attempt to call me in 2 days and they knew my name. I hung up on him and blocked the number.
