I have received 2 missed calls today from this number (07) 3811 8944 and the second time my incoming call alert showed "warning: Suspicious calling Pattern. I'm usually alarmed when there is a +61 in front of a number that is Australian anyway.

Caller: Apparently a representative from the Salvation Army The lady caller advised that she was from the Salvation Army in Brisbane Qld and was seeking donations for those that could not afford a meal for Christmas, bla bla, bla about the state of the poor in Australia. I declined to donate on the thought that I would be required to provide my credit card information and get scammed.

Two missed calls from them in the past two days. Didn't leave a message. Phone said warning suspicious call activity. Blocked.

I answered within a few seconds of the call coming in and they hung up.

Caller: The Fundraising Group Received a call from this number which my phone identified as ‘Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern’. They left a voicemail stating they were from the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal via The Fundraising Group.
I don’t think they realised they’d reached my voicemail as they left space for a response after every sentence during the pitch & then at the end said ‘hello?’. Used my name & mentioned I’d previously given.
I didn’t try to call back - donating directly feels like a safer choice rather than over the phone through a third party.

They called me yesterday but did not leave a voicemail. When I answered the their call today, they hung up as soon as I said hello. When I call their number back, recorded announcement says they are from the Apple Marketing Group, but they used to call me from a different number, and I have previously had to mail in a printed form instructing them to never call me again.
