Caller: Random Survey (could be data harvesting)

Identified themselves as The Social Research Centre working with Queensland University of Technology.

When asked, they told me that they had chosen my number at random in order to get “truly diverse results”

I ended the call there.

Left a voicemail saying they were from the Queensland University of Technology looking to conduct studies on Australian childhood experiences or something. Received a corresponding text message from 0481 074 131. Blocked both numbers

Got a text message earlier in the day from 0481 074 131 (reported here by others as well) claiming to be from the same place and then a call from this number in the evening.

I'm now getting half a dozen calls and texts from dodgy numbers every day, seriously considering getting rid of my phone altogether !
