They talk about a car accident you have had ..... even if you didn't have one ... just hang up

Interesting. These grubs are still working off this number. They tried me 6 months ago, and they have tried again for the last 4 days. Today I answered (just for kicks). Same script as last time.
Them: You've been in accident.
Me: No.
Them: Yes in the last 12 months.
Me: No
Them: someone in your family.
me: No.
Them: yes.
Me: No. Where did you get that information.
Them: yes, you have been in an accident.
Me: Where did you get that information.
Them: ... dialtone... crickets.
I reverse dialled immediately - optus regrets the number is disconnected!
Grubs!

Just kept on calling. I don't answer as I've been so weary of all these sort of calls but thanks for the heads up from this forum.

Base on everyone's comment here that this is a scam of some sort. I hope they haven't targeted the elderly who is so innocent to these sort of things.

Called about accident. When I asked for the mans name he hung up. Tried calling back and got disconnected message.

Tried ringing back and "Optus regrets to advise this number is disconnected." lol

they call me twice daily, unbelievable!

Getting called by this number multiple times, every day. This is harassment.

Missed call from (07) 3700 1200 tried to call back and said number disconnected

They insisted I had been in a car accident...no idea how they got my name and number but it is a scam

This number has been trying to call me for the last couple weeks, I finally answered, call centre claiming I’ve been in a car accident, (I haven’t) they then told me it must be a close family member (they haven’t either),they made no sense, don’t waste your time.
