Just received a recorded message from a Steve regarding a car accident I was involved in. I DONT EVEN HAVE A CAR!! Idiots I have blocked the number.

Totally over receiving these calls. Am going to lodge official complaint with Telstra, Consumer watch-dog? and police. I suggest everyone else do the same and with enough of these complaints they might finally decide to do something to stop all these annoying scammers.

6/12/2019 I received a phone call regarding an accident I never had. These scammers need to be stopped.

Keeps ringing me constantly I never answer numbers I don’t know so just going to block them

I did not answer but called back and got an automated answer saying that his name is Steve and he called regarding a car cash and gave the following options...
press 1 to continue or 2 to have your details removed... I hung up

Picked up the person started to say

"Hello, My names is Steve and I'm calling about an accident you were involved in, please hold the line and you will be connected to an agent"

What the heck, it wasnt a person it was a pre-recorded message.

Hung up straight away and blocked the number.

I answered asked about being in an accident knew it to be a scam so blocked it

They are at it again, requesting details about an accident I was in.

Scam call about a car crash, something should be done to stop these scammers. I am sick of the constant bombardment with unwanted calls.

I also called them back and it is the accident scam. Same options as above but obviously did not select one and I instead hung up.

I called back number (07) 3608 5298 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
