Take5 is a marketing scam to get your contact details so you are then targeted by 'charities'. I saw the TV ad featuring Sandra Sulley offering to deliver a 5 minute breast cancer check kit if you text them. Someone 'working' for the cancer council then rings you gets your postal address and full name. They then proceed to give you a pitch about progress in breast cancer and ask you to donate money. Don't have a problem with donating to the cancer council but this person was from a charity collection agency which on-sells your personal details to other charity collection agencies, only claiming to be from the cancer council. So they not only take a percentage of what you donate, they make money from selling your details. I know, because I gave a false name (just in case) and now my letter box is receiving weekly letters from various causes asking for money, all addressed to the false name I gave. I'm sad to see the cancer council resorting to such sneaky tactics and I'm surprised a journalist like Sulley would not have researched their modus operandi before putting her name to the project.

I called back number (07) 3606 0820 reached voice mail but did not mention from which company it was but just aid they are calling in behalf of a charity.

I've been getting regular from this number over the past 4 weeks. This number shows up on the screen and I'm provided a call location of Brisbane, Queensland. I don't answer it because I don't know anyone in Queensland and it is also one of 3 phone numbers that is being a continual nuisance at the moment.

I am always getting phone calls from this number and even when it stops or I block them another seems to come up in its place. They work at a call centre on behalf of charities. They take a 20 or 30% of your donation for the company collection on behalf of Cancer council.

3rd call from them today - I'm blocking it. Be great when the blocking facility is available for land lines as well as mobiles...

This number has been ringing me constantly for the last few weeks day and night.
Just won't take "no" for an answer. Very annoying.
I support various charities, but never from phone requests, only ever direct with the charity it's self. That way I like to think that most of my money will actually go to the right people that the charity is for.
