Caller: Spam?

Caller: Purporting to be from Visa and MasterCard

Scam call saying you have two pending suspicious transactions pending from Amazon and eBay

called me at 4:37pm - no message left....

Almost the same number from a scam caller 1 hour before. Number ending in 52, the one before ended in 53. When is this government going to put a stop to these scams.

Caller: mastercard / visa (credit card issuers)

fairly well spoken man asked if i made a $800 payment to overseas. He made it seem like perhaps i was being scammed and maybe someone had taken the money. he wanted to help.

No credit card issuer would call you regarding this. Only your bank would contact you and when they do they ask you to confirm your security/identifier code or answer your ~3 verification questions i.e. mums maiden name. I am sharing this because it was a very calculated tactic.

When i asked him to confirm what the last 4 digits were of my account he attempted to quote privacy/security reasons that prevented him from telling me and then hung up.

I have missed call from (07) 3523 5452, (07) 3523 5453, and (07) 3523 5454. Probably all spam?

supposedly a charge was stopped by them as suspicious I was passed on to a supervisor but they wanted me to log onto my bank and share it with them when I said I wouldn't share it with them they hung up on me

Called, no message 2nd scam call in an hour.
