They said it was NBN and wanted me to log into my laptop for them and they would tell me what to do. It sounded very rehearsed and scripted. I said I refused

05.05.22 - Male caller, Indian (or similar) accent. Said that the Commonwealth Bank had opened a fraudulent account using my mobile number and he would send me a link which I should go to now while he's on the phone to guide me through what to do. When I said I would contact the bank directly he said they wouldn't be able to do anything. Obviously a scam.

21 Oct 24. This was the first scammer for a long time, because I have blocked every caller that I cannot verify. Appears to have accessed my stolen data. Earned the traditional Blacklist Award.

Scammers up to the usual mischief. There's no way I will react to their nonsense, nor will I ever call them back. Take note devious scammers - all of you!

Caller: Stated they were from Amazon

Caller in an Indian accent tried to get me to open my details on my phone whilst I was on a call with them to report a suspicious purchase. They had my details including my email address, phone number etc. I would think my details have been linked and they are trying to scam me further.

Just had a call from this interstate number. Judging by the number of comments it would seem it's spam for a variety of things

I just had a similar experience, except they wanted me to download 'Anydesk' app. I didn't give them any information. i kept them on the line for awhile and told him that they where not very smart scammers.

The location of the number was Brisbane. Didn't bother answering though as I don't know anyone in Brisbane and assumed it was a scam.
