Caller: Scam

Claimed to be from Telstra and I needed to upgrade my internet service. Scam.

Caller: "Visa and Mastercard Department"

Claimed to be from the "Visa and Mastercard Department" and there were several transaction on my card from Boston [USA]. Did I know this person? If not, they will connect me to my bank to resolve the issue and have a repayment made. SCAM! (I was logged into my bank account at the time; there were NO such charges!)

Claimed they were from Amazon

Said it was from Brisbane. Didn't recognise the number so did not answer. No message left. Suss.

Didn't answer, but I also have Truecaller App on my phone, so it is easy to screen and block these calls

Caller: "Telstra"

I recently switched telcos and these pricks actually got me and I'm now going through hell. They've spoofed my number and have been applying for credit in my name. It doesn't end there.. they then sent extremely convincing emails that were identical to Telstra's legitimate mailing service.

Regretfully, I also fell for this phishing scam too... ( i feel like such a fool but I'd rather be minorly embarresed and spread awareness for others)

After opening the email with the subject that read "changes have been made to your Account" and the body of the message claiming that my phone number had been updated and if I didn't make these changes then click this link. Upon clicking the link I then entered my current number, confirmed my identity and address, and closed the email.

Next I received all sorts of calls, you name it, then I got it, every trick these scumbag lowlife germs could come up with, they tried on me.

Fast forward to now.. my phone is compromised, all my accounts, emails, new sim activations regularly, unauthorised internet banking transactions, password changes, complete control over my devices, and now I'm guessing after gaining access to my contact list.. my friends and family are receiving the same harassment and strange device activity..

DO NOT CALL BACK OR ANSWER FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER!

I answered the call. I could hear talking in the background and then they hung up.

Spam Scam. Put these people in jail. They don’t know how to be free.

Saying that someone was using my email acc in another country, needing me to update my account and my phone needed to be updated

Caller: Fake amazon

Recorded voice saying ill be charged for $99 Amazon Prime from my bank account, and if I don't want it to proceed to press 1. Had the same message from a number +95 2638513489 (Mynamar Burma! They must have forgotten to disguise the number with the fake Brisbane one

Answered call - sounded like a call centre and claimed to be from Telstra. He said there was a problem with home internet. Told him that don’t have home internet. SCAM DONT ANSWER CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER

Caller: Mark Wilson - Cyber Security

Told the old problem my internet is being used by someone. When asked if he was from a federal department or my service provider, he stated federal. I then asked for a case number for my problem and I would call him back. He then hangs up.

Multiple calls from brisbane.. I answered and they Claimed to be from Telstra. Told me there was a problem with my internet. I told them I don’t have internet and they hung up on me. SCAM.

Caller: Scammers as usual

Called several times in a row and didn’t leave a message. I didn’t answer as people can’t answer their phones these days because of these scumbag scammers. Clearly this one is a scammer just like all the others as why would someone from Brisbane be calling me. I will just add this number to the other hundred or so I have blocked.
